John starts the live presentation by showing two charts: the E-Mini and Euro. The Atlas Line produced a Long signal on each market. The Long signal is an advisement to buy the market at the given price. Most traders would have been hesitant, thinking price was overbought (based on the rise in price within the previous 25 minutes).

At about four minutes in, John reviews a recent overnight E-Mini chart for May 11. Yes, the Atlas Line can work premarket very well, as demonstrated by the Short signal given at 1351.

Attendees were filled with great questions. Yes, the Atlas Line does work with free data feeds. If you’re using CQG, Rithmic, PFG, etc. you can paper trade with the Atlas Line until you feel comfortable to use a live account. If requested, our support team helps customers with installation of the Atlas Line via remote support.

At the 10:00 mark, John runs through a typical play-by-play scenario showing how he uses the signals, the ATR (Average True Range) to dictate a profit target. The most preferable scenarios are when price intersects the Atlas Line and you immediately get either a Long or a Short. The live trade that occurred near the start of the webinar showed a different situation, where price climbed from far below to the Atlas Line to tag the 1.7 point profit target.

Have you ever tried to interpret the DOM, price ladder, or matrix? You’ve seen the bid and ask move in real-time – representing orders waiting to get filled either long or short. About 15 or 20 years ago, it was possible to use tape reading (the olden days equivalent of DOM interpretation) to gauge support and resistance levels.

Nowadays, you can’t trust the buy and sell quantities that appear on the DOM. This is because phantom orders exist. Phantom orders only exist for a brief period of time without a chance of ever being filled. This skews the types of calculations that were once possible using tape reading. Remember, many of these orders are placed for manipulative reasons by high frequency trading systems, perhaps to entice retail traders. When price nears the phantom orders, they disappear as if they were automatically pulled from the market.

Trading systems are a dime a dozen. It’s always better to be able to see the trades plot on your charts, so ultimately, you’re in control. The Atlas Line puts you in control by letting you know the expected direction of price. You then place an order in the given direction using the profit taking rules defined in the live training. Stops are also discussed, in addition to the other Atlas Line setups that occur: Strength and Pullback trades. The latest version of the Atlas Line plots these Strength and Pullback trades, making it even easier to recognize opportunities.

This video shows the E-Mini slowly inching its way towards our profit target at 1359.75. This profit target is not arbitrary – it’s based on what the ES can produce at the moment, as indicated by the Average True Range. The ATR is the green line plotted on the bottom of the chart. Stops are also specified – John outlines the different scenarios in which a stop out would have occurred. Although the profit was only one point, the Atlas Line recognizes many opportunities intraday. Success of overnight trading and other recent days are also shown towards the end of the video.
